My battery hold-down strap finally broke

So today I'm in the trunk of my '67S and I find the rubber battery strap broken. This piece lasted 49 years! That's pretty good for a piece of 1960's German rubber which wasn't known for being exceptionally well made.

So it got me thinking of a discussion. What original, normally expected to be a non-durable, item is still in place and functioning on your older Porsche?

Hahaha, that's funny. But you live in wine country. Try making that claim living in iron country!

It begs the question, where are you going to find an original replacement? and will it last 49 months??
