    Question Early Aftermarket Heat Exchangers

Wondering if anyone recognizes these heat exchangers and who the manufacturer was/is. They are regular steel and have very angular features. They were found on a 1966 911. We had them cleaned, dipped and ceramic coated. Any info appreciated. Thanks!

    Not Triad.

I recognize them but can't remember what company built them.

I have the same ones. Someone told me they were early SSI's.

You might double check the "regular steel" thing as both the shrouds and pipes on mine are stainless.

Thanks Rich. I was thinking they might be stainless since they are so solid after all these years. They're currently with the car which isn't close by. I'll have the crew there double check on the material.

    Any idea on timeframe?

Great engine pic by the way.

Thanks! 35K miles later my total unknown $2200 Craigslist 2.2 is still running like a champ.

I do not know the timeframe. I bought these from a guy in Alabama named Jimmy Grantham back in 2007. If he's still around, maybe he knows something.

Just got confirmation from the shop that they are indeed stainless not regular steel. Interesting that two '66s wind up with these.
