Tall engine lid grille for 901, 1964 and very early 1965 cars

Here's one for the 'Seriously?' thread: complete and undamaged 1964 grille. It's got 0,5 cm higher 'fins' compared to later style. These were made from 356 material I'm told. Can be recognized by the fact that the rivets are placed offset and not in the middle. It's in almost perfect condition. Als has numbered fins (1-13). Ready to mount after some polishing. Asking price is 6500 dollar.

Wow indeed. I have an SWB grill in the for sale section and I'm asking just $200. Perhaps i am way too low...

It appears you're too low. About half a centimeter ;-)

    The grille has sold. Thanks!

won't find too many tall grilles around as only the first few hundred cars got them, much different than the standard grille that is very common.

    Nice.
    Congrats.

I have a couple of these. If anyone knows someone who's a wiz at restoration I would greatly appreciate a referral.

    Thanks

My friend Larry Brooks (L.A. Brooks) and I bought a large bunch of Porsche parts recently and low and behold we found an early tall engine grill in the parts, link to Ebay where you can see pictures etc. Willing to sell direct (non-Ebay) too. https://www.ebay.com/itm/372766331311
