Thread: Weinrot color?

  1. #1

    Weinrot color?

On a Kardex for a 67 911 it says Weinrot, which stands for wine red.

Anyone know what color that is and what it looks like?
    Is it Burgundy Red 30868?

I have seen so much variation in burgandys too if that is what it is, but the most accurate are more brown than red?

    Thanks

While looking for a formula...don't confuse it with the later (re)use of Wine Red (Met)........

Turns out to be 30868 Burgundy red.

Maybe not the most popular/desirable color?

Burgundy red changed over the years, by 1972 "Aubergine" was a different tone than the late 60ies Burgundy red tone, but still almost similar.
As Harvey said, by 1970 there was also a Metallic red, almost "red-copper" like.
