Thread: Did all 1968 911S come with an elephant hide dash face, door panels and seat inserts?

    I once had an incredibly original 68S, late production (11800983) and it had basketwave everywere, 5/68 build date

    68 is a great year for running changes: My car also has an aluminum case engine and early style deck lid/grill both of these were changed by Porsche later in the 68 production run along with the change to basket weave.
    Excuse the black mats (carpet is red underneath) and the speakers.

    I noticed your window winders are also from '67 and earlier. I wonder what other '67 traits were carried over to early '68 cars. For now we have the "roller" type headrests and the window cranks.

    My 68S # 00199 build date late August '67 has elephant hide dash and door panels, with vinyl seats/pepita inserts.
