    Factory aluminium ducktail (R4) ???

Found a rough alloy framed ducktail, after a short cleaning, stripping, I discover R4 hand stamped inside tail, could it be a factory 360 0328 R4 prototyp ducktail ?
    Calling experts, thanks

The racing tails I've seen were woven fibre. Just like the R hood.

Funny you mention that, I was just pointing out to Hugh last week that I noticed "R6" in this iconic old picture of the Le Mans prototypes"

That could be a find of historical importance! R4 was taken apart for testing by the factory after its Daytona win. Opinions vary as to whether they destroyed it or sold it on. Could this lead to finding some of the rest of the car?

Let me help with this Thread....or just come to Amelia Island next March and see Bill Warner's display of Historic Brumos racing cars class! I will be bringing the "Documented" original (OG) Brumos raced Factory 911 RSR! Thats right "The Car"!

OliveR, could you show a few pixies of the paint removed layer by layer from the other side....if there is blue and red on it (stripes)...name your price!

    Best Always,

    Kevin
