    Early whale tail

    Hi all,

today I've been going through some stuff, which came to me quite a while ago, and I came across this. Looks like an older Carrera or Turbo whale tail, but how can I tell whether it's an original one or just a repro? It's old, has some repairs and that smaller "secondary" grill has been closed/re-laminated, rubber is really good and the overall impression is good as well.

Many thanks for all comments, Timo

metal frame would be a good indicator.

    Hi Franz,

Didn't have a magnet with me (not too much time for a closer look either), but probably not. Will be there again next week and will revert.

    Thanks,
    Timo

It doesn't have the split holes at the rear for the height adjusters, so unless it has been repaired by somebody in the past, it's a repro.
