    The 400mm raised hub leather wheel (901.347.081.15) you have there was again available from the '69MY, i.e. August 1968, so again I would say the date of '811' (November 1968) production is not unreasonable; I would imagine these 'special order' wheels did not see a large throughput allied to the fact that stock rotation was perhaps not what it is today!

    thanks Tim.... That is maybe why the leather ones were not available after 1972... the limited production run probably ran out and it was not economic or practical to do another run..

    Quite possible Hugh......for reference here is a NOS 420mm raised hub leather wheel (901.347.082.73) with a production date of October 1966 that must have sat in a stores for quite some time!
