great question on how to color the tips.

The light rod tips can be painted with:

Krylon Stained Glass Paint which can be purchased for $7-$9 at local hobby/crafts shops or online.

    1. Use 3M Blue Painters Tape to mask the rod shaft, leaving the round tip exposed.
    2. Spray the color with a thin, misting coat and let dry for 30 minutes.
    3. Repeat with additional coats (<4) until you have the tint that you desire.
    4. Wait 30 minutes after the last coat & remove the tape.
    5. Clean up with lacquer thinner, if necessary.
    6. Allow paint to dry for 24 hours and reassemble switch.

    Happy Thanksgiving!
