Thread: Anybody a Porsche Poster expert or Know One?

  1. #11
Thanks for the post and the photos! Have never had that poster, and it's not in either the Lewandowski book or the Showroom Poster book. Since it doesn't commemorate a specific race, I suspect it was a showroom poster. If you would like it restored (and it should be), contact Vince Newkirk at Chicago Poster Restoration, 312/456-1899; info@posterrestore.com; www.posterrestore.com. He does excellent work at reasonable prices.

Can you give us the exact size?

Yes, I looked in both books too. However, it is the image from the set of 5 postcards that Porsche did issue. Tony Singer has one postcard identical to this on his website.

From the design, I believe it to be the work of Hanns Lohrer.

As it happens I wrote about his work for Petrolicious.
