    Yes, my 72 has a set of lines the return of which extends to the rear of the console where the thermostat resides

    C'mon, Jim. You know the thermostat was mounted to the tank in 73.

    72 lines are one year only, 73 lines are one year only, 74-84 lines are what you expect to see, and 85-89 lines are almost the same with only slightly different bends at the RF fender.

    Buy OEM lines from Porsche. They fit perfectly and don't leak. You can make the clamp standoffs and weld them to the rockers or just punch a hole and run a long bolt. That's how we did it before the cars had any real dollar value.

    But they don't fit perfectly on pre-73 cars without the recesses in the front fender well. They fit but the jack "bump" will be offset which to my eye is certainly not perfect! I lengthened mine with Ed's tutelage to overcome this problem.
