Thread: The new "RSR"

    The new "RSR"

So with the ramp up for the LA show and now on the official Porsche AG web site...we have the "new RSR"

The big deal here is that it is mid-engine'd.

So...they're not calling it a "Carrera RSR", and God forbid, not "Cayman RSR"...but it's mid-engine!

    They're just calling it "RSR."

I argued with Bruce Anderson about the slipping competitiveness of the rear engine'd platform for years....in recent time Ferrari, BMW, and Corvette has taken the 911 platform over the edge.

I thought they should have put a V8 or V 10 in the back seat and still call it a Carrera, but the six? Now "RSR"

    Thoughts?

    Very purposeful.
Just check out the mirrors and the thought that went into them alone.
I agree with putting an 8 or 10 cylinder in there though.
Wonder what this latest 6 is making in the way of hp?
I'll bet this is nearly a million dollar car these days as well....
