    Proper dry cell batteries?

Are proper dry cell (AGM) batteries really still this hard to get for battery box cars?!!.....apparently Sonnenscheins are no longer imported? Seriously....

Tell me I'm an idiot and not looking in the right spot?

I thought that now the Chinese were mass producing them all you needed was the code eg 925 or 680 and you could buy them anywhere.

ODYSSEY Extreme Series Battery Model PC1200T

Hi Aaron...AGM-batteries are not "hard to get"...I just installed two Odyssey PC1200T in my 1973 911T...I didn't want to mount them up-right since the terminals came a little too close to the chassis/battery box-wall for my own comfort...so I turned them 90degr and with the terminals protruding outwards at the upper end of the box it's just right...a couple of Cheap plastic terminal covers from Peeep-boys are good protection...Price range: ~$250.00- 280.00/ea...

Whether for everyday or emergency use, today's vehicles are loaded with more electronics than would have been imaginable just a few years ago. ODYSSEY batteries have been designed to keep up with the changes. Because their plates are made of pure virgin lead (unlike the lead alloy in most batteries), we can pack in more plates. And more plates mean more plate surface area, and much more power - twice the overall power and three times the life of conventional batteries - up to 400 cycles at 80% depth of discharge!

ODYSSEY batteries deliver the massive starting power, rapid recovery, and amazing deep cycling capability that today's vehicles demand.

I also have two Odyssey batteries in my 1969 911. I installed the two batteries on the side. I have not had acid in my trunk for over 6 years with out issues.
