Trim on Wheels - COA issue

    Hi,

My big present this holiday was a certificate of authenticity. I really like it even though I didn't wanted one. I am glad to report that it confirms that my car, engine and transmission are all numbers matching.

    I have two quick questions:

    1. One listed COA option was 'Trim on Wheels". My car has the wheel well trim which appears original and is great condition. Is this the correct designation of that option?

    2. My car has the exterior S-trim, aluminium front calipers, retractable antenna, a leather steering wheel -- all of which appears original. Should any of these be listed as options on the Kardex or COA?

I have to write to or call Porsche anyways as they got the spelling of my name incorrect on the letter. I would appreciate any input on the above and if they should be corrected.

Thanks for all the help this board provides 911 owners and Happy 2017!

I assume others will chime in as well, but here are my observations:
    I assume you have a 1972 model year (T or E?).
CoAs are notorious for inaccurate or inconsistent feature/option descriptions. It is dependent on the Porsche office staff at the time that is responsible for publishing the CoAs.
The 'Trim on Wheels' is actually the fender wheel trim which is a factory and/or dealer option.
The CoA should list an 'Appearance Group' or 'Comfort Group' option that would include the 'S' options on your car.

When you call them you could add a few rare options. They are usually more than happy to help out. Oppsss. Sorry about that. I'm just getting too cynical.

Yep definitely a '72, you can see the oil door flap there on the fender in the top pic.

As others have said these can be incorrect, but PCNA will help you correct the misspelling or missing options if you call them.
