FS: 911 RSR 3.0 Liter Twin Plug Race Engine OEM Parts

    "SOLD"

Now on eBay with more detailed photos here also.

Most of these parts are not for the average RS or RSR "Tribute" project. Having said that, if you are building a "Clone" or "Replica" 911 RSR, then this might be the engine for you.

A 3.0 liter 911 RSR engine is expensive and most belong in a factory Porsche race car. The engine is currently apart and not yet built, all components can be easily inspected by an engine builder. What is listed in the description here is what you get, nothing more, nothing less. For the rest of the 911 RS / RSR engine component photos, those are being added here.

    A fair engine value?
A few words about how I arrived at the asking price. In light of the fact that the Porsche factory produced such a low number, less than 55 samples of 911 RSR race cars, and, considering the current market-value of just about ANY 911 RSR factory car is well above 1M+, the 'contributory-value' of an OEM factory 911 RSR twin-plug race engine should not be no less than 15% of the value of the vehicle. Personally, I feel 15% is a conservative number and in fact, I was criticized twice by two well educated sources for not using a higher number (current and ex-owner of 911 RSR factory cars).

    DEFINITION
of 'Contributory Value' ~ The value contributed by a component or part to the total value of the whole.

    * NOT to be confused with common 911 street fuel injectors. The ‘urban legends’ you might hear that 911 RSR BOSCH Racing Fuel Injectors are nothing more than Porsche factory hand-picked injectors out of a 911 street injector parts bin and then matched for best performance is simply NOT TRUE. These fuel injectors are the REAL DEAL, they are 911 RSR Racing Fuel Injectors using a superior 'guided-needle design”, for racing---nothing less. Each injector is stamped with the BOSH 'DV0460' component identifier and also by a unique Porsche p/n 901.110.015.01 as listed in the official 1974 Porsche 911 RSR parts catalog. (yes, good observation---that is Carl Thompson in the smaller photo).

** Please note that a 3.0 liter 74' 911 RS and 3.0 liter 74' 911 RSR alloy crankcase are both physically the same, the engine 'Type' stamped on the crankcase identifies the original configuration of the engine from factory.

    ***
NOT ‘re-drilled’ head-studs using 2.8L 911 RSR Twin-Plug Factory Heads. These 911 RSR racing heads retain their original 3.0L head-stud spacing, location and shape.

Please contact me for shipping (pick-up) options, several boxes are required to properly and safely ship all these rare items. I will gladly ship Internationally with all boxes gong out well insured.

(BTW, I am well aware a 74' RSR 3.0 Liter race engine uses a BOSCH Twin-Plug Distributor and Slide-Valve Induction, not a 2.8 RSR TP Distributor or 2.8 RSR Hi-Butterflies).

No 'PM' please. I can be contacted directly at AJSERRANO at MSN dot COM with any questions. Thx!~
