Also the sun visors are 67. The sun visor can not release to swivel like a 68 car. Maybe a very early 68 with 67 parts. Mine 68 911L has chrome levers for turn signal switch. Chris

I realize this is an old thread, but I'm doing research on visors for an early 68S. I realized it has what I believe are same as this, which are 67 and don't swivel. I also have a 67s mirror. Does anyone know this to be the case for early 68?

    Thanks,

    Scott

Is the headliner shown in Post #1 commonly called "elephant hide?" For some reason I thought that term applied to a much coarser material that was used for dashboard trim and tool bags.

some 68 (sunroof cars only? L only? euro L only? euro sunroof only?) had a non perforated elephant skin like(not as elephantish as on the door panels etc.) whitish material....

about the mirror thing...the break-away was mandatory(if i read the dot docs correctly)along with some other safety features in the US for 1968 so maybe some early 68 cars that arrived to the us in 67 had my67 left overs mounted...

pic below shows a very late 68 euro L with basket weave

I'm with you, that first pic is not elephant hide style at all but probably a moot point 3 years down the track
