Shure a few details incorrect on above car but still rare.
(BTW I know of another narrow body 2.3 ST currently being restored in Switzerland..)
Here is the thread discussing these 1970 911S:
    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...=1970+predated

Here below are the well-known interior shots of the 1970 2.2S standard equipment for RoW market.
This orange car was probably shot in Spring 1969, still w 1969 door handles.
Watch for door panels and steering wheel. While the standard equipment on 1970S was basic, those cars were not sold in complete racing spec, unless ordered so.

And the 1970 RoW lineup, same brochure (2 versions exists). From left to right, 911T, 911E, 911S.
The 911S had a special engine grill, but all black, no trim and P decals. These cars are pre-production, w 69 door handles.
Makes sense to have a lineup by having a 911T, a luxurious E and then..a sports spec 911Super.

Yeah, I'm not so sure about that either. For a competition ordered ST, I agree but this car is the base 911S. Wouldn't surprise me if the regular S 400mm wheel was standard.

Also, the "S" grill shown above looks like factory FG with the imbedded grill mesh rather than a separately attached, simplified grill.

A very special car indeed...... a minor detail but I'd have to backdate the 78 SC rear slam panel and give it plenty of road rash to take away the gloss but so very cool!

No sale, high bid was $500,000. Road Scholars has a nice write up of all the Porsche lots and few other cars from the Amelia auctions.
