Can you explain the klaxon/Mixo deal please?

From what I understand, red trumpets replaced red banjos in Dec 1972. The initial red trumpets were branded as Klaxon Stritone, and at some later time (while still red) turned into Mixo Stritone, seeming identical in every other way to the Klaxon horns. Eventually the horns turned black, but no idea when.

The reference, completely original early '73 production RS I have seen, has Klaxon horns. Whether Mixo and Klaxon were simultaneously or sequentially produced, I don't know.

    Others may (will) know more.

I have a pair that if I recall correctly is in excellent condition.
Give me a few days (week?) to get my hands on them and I will get back to you.

Lots of irons in the fire. Looking for the short (high tone) one for those of you who have to dig into the boxes in your basement. Thanks for doing so. If you have a pair, I'll consider both if you don't want to separate, although there seems to be enough of a market that even singles are easy to sell.
