Cool envelope - Fahren in seiner schonsten Form

I recently came across a set of shop manuals. Inside, I found this envelope dated 10-66. The number seems to correspond to a part number for a tool.

Yes, 000.721.235.00 was the order number for a P235 Synchrometer.
The same number is in the small box below.

Can you show us the contents of the envelope?

Unfortunately, the envelope is empty. The image of the car is printed on the inside of the envelope, and the rectangle has thin plastic covering. I assume it's a window for an addressed letter. Maybe it held a receipt for the tool?

Possibly a receipt, a flyer or instructions for the tool.
It was an MFI tool, so in late 66 it was probably intended for a 906E or 910, not a 911.

    factory tool P-235

A photo of the tool, when used in the shop, the long end is placed into the upright column of the Hazet Assistent tool trolly.

    P235 Synchrometer

Here is my P235, not as nice as Ernie's :-(
It's one of the more difficult factory tools to find in nice condition.

It's a manometer...and you feel like a mad scientist when you use it to balance your injection system...

Just think that envelope sat as a book marker for 50 years...only to show up on this thread and have it's story told...
