Thread: Accurate "RS" door cards?

Keith, I see no reason why you couldn't make your own from cowboard and black vinyl. Pretty basic really.

I'm considering it, once I understand all of the correct details. Although if I do, I'll be having a run of cards die cut, foam donuts & straps made, etc.

AppBiz already produces door cards, although not correct material. If you want original, why not use some factory cards off a 74 or later, they are plentiful?
I just donated a set to my mechanics stash.

We make these which are patterned on the original RS cards which were used without door tops.

Waterproof foam board, inner self-adhesive moisture barriers, Fiat 500 pull handles and jack nuts for fitting and leather straps for opening.

We use screw cups from Wurth which are crimped in the inside to prevent them from punching holes in the vinyl and are nickel Plated.

We also make a version for use with door tops

Chris, your straps look to be the correct dimension also (as expected) - that is the detail that is escaping me on the internet.

wondering whether anyone can tell me the vintage of this door card. have pulled the radio and want to eliminate the speakers, so i need new cards. The ones that i see do not have the door latch mechanism in the door center like mine. Car started life as a '69 912.
