    Original 70 911 Engine Sound Pad

    SOLD

    This engine compartment insulation pad was removed from a 1970 911 and it is very good condition except for the bottom right corner which is missing. Perfect for your 911S with Patina. They don't make them like this anymore...

    Price is $175 plus shipping

    Imho, this one and "mine" (the pebble one) overlapped up till VERY early 1971. The earliest I've seen this particular one was in a VERY late 1969 911S.

    The construction is very similar, as is the surface material in terms of heat resistance. Water usually deteriorates them (the jute portion) over time.

    When the changeover occurred between this one and the 1972 and later version happened, I'm not sure.

    I'm not sure if I will ever have a reproduction of this particular one, but I'm trying.... (I'd rather make lights).

    Pad is sold. Boxing was a PITA but it should get there safely.
