To derrail a bit further, 951's (944 Turbo) are great driving cars. The boost is excellent and the F/R balance is really contribute to the driving experience.

Now we're trying to preserve 924s. This notion of a hobby was lost about a decade ago. Now people are searching for investment grade 944s.

We found a great thing to do with a whole room full of 924/944/928 NOS parts, we put cheap prices on it and take it all to Hershey, those cheap dudes are knifing each other for a NOS 944 console, $40! We are just happy to see all that stuff go, it's not worth ebaying, and it pays for the gas to PA and back, and while my mom is pumping that stuff, I'm out buying.

No you are being inducted into the Hall of Fame for Restorers for first class restoration details. Inherent in the word restoration is the verbiage "to restore". Nice detail work.

Any really good restoration work can be judged as "meant to deceive". Restorers are damned if they do and damned if they dont. It only matters when the cars values get serious.
