    Ran out of talent.

Next he'll run out of customers.

Sheeesh... you can't even total a customer's car any more without the whole world knowing.

Made me think of the ferrari Calif on Ferris Buelers Day Off. Still, I don't know anyone who could resist a test drive. Maybe that is why I am not in the service industry? I for one say, if he is really that good of a mechanic, don't crucify him. Sch@t happens. Insurance will fix the car and if you are unhappy with the result then sell it and move on. It is unlikely that he will do it again ever. Move on. WWTJD (What would Tyler Jerdin Do?)

Read the thread and you'll most likely change your mind about shop owners conduct, which was totally outrageous- luckily for owner of car the misdeeds were all captured through social media

Several years ago a guy in a repair shop in south Florida took a customers Porsche to the race track without the customer knowing for track night and destroyed the car. The same guy put a porsche turbo in the trees on a I95 ramp.

So the current owner bought the biz? If so when did it change hands?

Great shop back in the 70s and 80s from what I heard. Did a lot of racing, and really knew their way around Porsches. But by the mid 90s when I was using them, they were transitioning to a younger group (Aaron) and they just didn't have the experience to properly fix the older 911 mechanical fuel injection much to my great frustration.

Sounds like this might make a WONDERFUL case study on younger gen vs old farts in regard to business ethics.

Shop owner thought it was his right to thrash a customer's car? What a punk.

He's about to learn a very hard lesson.
