    Smile Porsche Guru in England

    I have a early 911 (302631) which started it's life in England.
I am going over to England in June and was wondering if anyone knows of someone i might be able to get in contact with to see if i can fine out more information about the car.

I usually get along to the DDK monthly pub meet on the lawn of Fairmile in Cobham Surrey so let me know if you are here the third weds of June if attending would be of interest? Usually a good number of cars make it in summer

Also as suggested post on DDK forum or contact Porsche Club GB there is an early 911 register secretary. I don't know all the VIN formats offhand what year and model?

Ps Goodwood Festival of Speed is in late June -- well worth a visit even if not as good as Goodwood Revival or Members Meetings IMHO

that is an October 1965 build RHD car delivered to the UK (although maybe not via AFN) and part of a batch of RHD cars produced that month, most of which went to the UK / AFN but at least one to Australia. In my records (not complete) there were at least 4 UK delivered RHD cars between VIN 302618 and 302631 and at last a couple more in the 20 numbers after that.

    you are in NZ?
I will look over the next day or so at my records / contacts on these cars but Dennis is correct that the DDK guys will be your best bet. Also did you get a Kardex for it yet to sort out where it was ordered from / delivered through? That should be on the kardex. My records from some years ago are showing that that was an outstanding question about the car but maybe you have it sorted now.

    Hi Dave

Here is the current ddk thread which will interest you and also a link to a fantastic little database. If you contact the original poster he will be happy to hear from you or, even better still, post a picture and a few details on the thread (ddk is free to join). Redrobin has put a lot of work into collecting the data and it's already a great resource.

All the best with your search

Let's connect near the date but here is some info...

Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month at the Fairmile Pub in Cobham Surrey UK
    Pub details here: http://www.chefandbrewer.com/pub/fai...-cobham/p1206/

Nothing formal very low key, folks just turn up and park on the lawn in front of pub in early evening. My friend Chris normally posts something on DDK just ahead as a reminder

If timing works then don't miss the Goodwood Festival of Speed a world class event in West Sussex but be advised it sells out.
