Any way you slice it, they've been the owner of record of the registered trademark in the US since 1983...ultimately surprised it took them this long to act on it...

Didn't Penske buy the rights to Cars & Coffee?

So it will soon be Starbucks beverages and we all drive 'vehicles' and not cars. And we get together for these as well. "Vehicles and Beverages", may get used to it.

I should trade mark a word too... hmmm

    I call dibs on 'a'

no more As from now on, i will want a quarter for each A.

first of all: PCA filed back in 1982 the single word trademark: Treffen, so beware to argue that you have used the single word Treffen in the claimed category for several years allready.

Germany: no chance to got it registered as a single word here

Btw: It is not possible to get Porschexxx, like Porschetreffen registered in US or Germany, if you are not Porsche AG

It's interesting to see that Tejas Treffen was able to trademark the combined word "TejasTreffen" in the realm "Entertainment services in the nature of organizing and conducting art shows and car shows". Perhaps you should file for the combined "NorCalTreffen"?

looks like "PCA Porsche Club of America" isn't registered anymore... (PCA is)

I'll give you 50 bucks if you want to re-register it....

I think you would have to have a pair of gold walnuts to attempt anything like that in any country. Even if you were successful at obtaining Porschetreffen as a trademark, PAG would just follow you around suing you until your bones dissolved and your flesh collapsed into a pile of ooze around the dust of your skeleton. I can't imagine that PCA has anywhere near the Gold walnut status as PAG so Im pretty sure they are just sabre rattling. No one wants a law suit. The cease and desist cost them a couple hundred bucks but law suits make attorneys rich. All in all I think that the use of Treffen by all is good advertising for them and I am sure a big majority of the users are also PCA Members. Ho Hum Why do they really care?

You will get a refusul by USPTO, whether you have a pair of gold walnuts or not
