    A Public Apology

I must apologize to those that got here as much as 1 1/2 hours before our official start time. Our coffee maker (both the machine and our crew)just was not up to the task of keeping up with the demand. We can only make 12 cups every 3 1/2 minutes. We must have had at least 50 people waiting patiently for their cup of locally roasted, freshly ground coffee and the line didn't get any shorter for a loooong time! We just ordered another coffee maker that will more than double our capacity, hoping that this won't be a problem in the future. Thanks to John Eiskamp for all of the great Driscoll's berries. By the way, John, I've got your platter and can mail it to you or hold it for next month.
Thanks to those that brought doughnuts and other goodies.
I brought 12 dozen doughnuts and put them on the table a bit before 9:00AM. There was not a doughnut (not even one of those hideous sprinkle things) or a single berry left by 10:00AM. We had a great time and look forward to the first Saturday in May (May 6).
Our new whizzbang coffee maker will be up and running.

    Regards

    Jim

You don't owe an apology to anyone, my friend. What you do for our community in hosting this event is universally appreciated. Of that much I am sure.

Plus, there's now a Starbucks just a two-block walk away. Remember when the street was just a dead end?

It must have been great coffee because they waited. No worries. The good things in life are worth the wait

    Where's your inginuilty Jim?

That water dispenser has a heater in it, right? Rig up one of your old hair nets, some toilet paper (new), and a BUTTLOAD of ground coffee inside it and start brewing!

OK, we just tripled our coffee making capacity. No more waiting!
I really like Frank's suggestion, though.
