    Sorry, but I still don’t understand your intent for this racecar. The relevant question is not what was the original FIA homologation. This is NOT an original FIA homologated car; it is a replica. The relevant question is what racing organization do you plan to race with, and what are their rules? If it is just to be a track/DE car, no problem. But if you plan to actually compete in sanctioned races, you need to build the car to be race legal. I race with PCA Club Racing, RMVR (under the Vintage Motorsports Council), and SCCA. None of those organizations would allow the fiberglass fenders, doors, etc. that you mentioned early on in this thread. According to my friends in Europe, FIA is even more strict.

    If FIA allowed it back in the day, they allow it today. I.e can you prove fiberglass hoods were used on an ST in 1972? Then you can use it in historic racing today under FIA. So fiberglass is allowed, depending on the model you are building.

    PMO carbs, not so much.

    But yes, FIA are strict.
