    Today Porsche rolled-out the 1.000.000th Porsche 911.
Congratulations! It's an "S", of course...

    One million 911s

Porsche went seriously retro with this one.

This rings hollow for me- the current 911 is bigger in every dimension and is so capable that its dynamism cannot be truly explored except on a deserted road (at the possible expense of your license) or a race track. It's stayed true to its roots, but only in terms of country of production and location of engine. In addition, you can't drive through an intersection in Newport Beach or La Jolla without seeing a 996 or later.

Porsche continues to engineer some great cars, but I've no love for their moderns. They made 175,164 996s and 212,704 997s- so the first two generations of water-cooled cars accounted for 38.79% of all 911s up to this point. They made more than twice as many 996s as BMW made E46-chassis M3s, to use a contemporary rival.

I am sure they are really crying about the demand for P cars. I however am with you, they really are nothing like to OG versions

You gents echo my feelings. Particularly the Super Sized "911". When I saw my first one my mind went "Mercedes!', yikes. I will give the current management credit for one thing: At least they built this car in a Family Color. I don't think this green looks all that great on this large car but I would like to think it's a small tribute to Ferry. R.I.P.
