    Porsche Sign sells for

    Amazing what our Porsche memorabilia can sell for. This Dealership sign from the 50s to 60s sold last night at the Barrett Jackson Northeast Auction for $11,500.00. Listing below from the web catalog.

    Lot 7262.1 - Stunning late 1950s-60s Porsche Automobiles single-sided porcelain dealership sign.
    No Reserve Northeast 2017
    Stunning late 1950s-60s Porsche Automobiles single-sided porcelain dealership sign. Made for the American market. Appears to have never been used. Condition: 9.0+ Size: 25"x34"

    John, I'm sure you already have uber cool signage.

    This was purchased in Ft Wayne back in the early 90's. I remember draggin it back with a load of antiques (long before merican pickers). Think I paid $200 for it and thinking the guy pulled a fast one on me.

    Porcelain? it's an enamelled iron sign made from Smalterie Emiliane in late 60's and 70's. Beware of fakes, there are some reproductions around!!!

    For future reference. Before raising hand at auctions check for a C.O.A.! I hope the buyer knew what he bought.

    By the mid sixties, those enamel signs were usually always in Color. (1968 catalogue shows one)
    Would fit for 356 time frame, if its a real one. Agree, easy to fake or doing repro
