    Questions about Porsche "Paint" Techniques...

Any Porsche historians here care to answer - or perhaps lead me in the right direction? I have a few questions about original paint on Porsche cars:

    1. Any specific details on how paint was applied to Porsches from the 1950s onward, with discussion of specific dates/new model introductions when the technique might have changed/evolved significantly?

    2. How did Porsche paint quality compare to others in period? 1950's - onward...same? better? Any techniques that was Porsche specific?

Thanks. Looking forward to hearing what you know...

Might try perusing this old video, for starters . . .

    Undercoating starts ~10min, painting ~13

    Dunno about materials + dates, per se, but . . . pretty labor-intensive approach, overall --- multiple coats, hand-rubbing, etc . . . = Olde Skoole

Gives a whole different perspective of how these little cars were put-together

    . . . and check-out the Coupe @15:15 --- !!!
