1970 911T Shell Air Cleaner Decal

I am trying to determine if my 1970 911T originally had a Shell Decal on the air clear box. And if so what is the correct decal and location?
Is it the same decal that my 1972 911T has?
I have posted pictures for review.
Many Thanks for all of the forum input that translates into knowledge for the forum members.

They did have them but maybe not on all markets and years.

I do have period tests in magazines and the sticker can be seen, including on 2.2 cars.

I think your right as some might have. I also think some 69's had them as well but the decal was different

I was all over these cars back in the day, as I was saving my money to finally purchase my 1st 911, a '70 2.2 T. I finally did and subsequently concour'd the car for several years.I never saw a 2.2 911 with a Shell decal on the air cleaner housing until the 1972 model year with the 2.4 cars. I went to my Road & Track collection this afternoon. They tested a 2.2 S, but no engine photos. There were two separate tests and compares with '69 engine photos...no decal. There was a test of a '70 914-6...no decal. Lastly they did test a '72E in '72..., it had the decal on the plastic housing. It's certainly possible other markets got a decal, but I'm quite certain the '70-'71 2.2 cars in the US did not.

Peter Morgan's 911 book shows one 2.2 engine; no decal. His 2.4 engine has one! His examples are probably driven on the left side of the road.....cliff
post script : they are sold here thru THE SHOP, with a reference to two locations, both appear to be plastic housings!

I got access to my period road test magazines and the situation with decal was actually diverse.

Some Row cars did have a decal (especially UK cars) as early as 1969 2.0litre.
That Shell decal was slightly more square than the later ones.

Some 2.2litre cars did have the Shell decal in a bigger size and rectancular shape, but again only seen on RoW/UK cars, but not/never on US models (I checked several US test magazines)

2.4litre generally had all those Shell decals.
