These are my original '66 stickers... none of the current reproductions I've tried are perfect: each has their differences!

Thanks Stephen, great info there.
I believe that the fonts on Manuels will be perfect and as original. So far none of the repo's out there have the correct fonts and spacing. Material, we will have to wait but I know he is working hard on this
Hi guys, I have a October 65 build 911 (302327) and am trying to figure out the correct engine decal arrangement.
I know the original 65 cars didn't have any decals but the later 66 model cars did. they were the red bordered type that Canford Classics make.
This car is an original UK delivered RHD so the actual decals will be different to the US delivered cars but my main problem is knowing whether the car should have them or not?
Same goes for the air cleaner snorkel and the fan housing decals.
The car has Webers on it now but originally was built with Solex and will eventually go back to original when I collect all the bits.
here hoping someone can put this one to bed for me.
Brett Johnson's The 911 & 912 Porsche, A Collector's Guide to Authenticity [page 17] says the foil decals on the rear latch panel appeared in 1967.
The cars with Solex Carburetors had the Firing Order and Valve Clearance sticker on the snorkel. The earliest car I ever saw with this sticker was 300049 (or maybe 47) so it's safe to bet they all had them.
I would guess that the Weber-carbureted '66s had a similar sticker but I can't give any evidence.

Hi All
I e-mailed Canford Classics yesterday & they've since informed me they no longer ship overseas - no specific reason given. Anyone have any alternate suggestions or recommendations other than the sources named in this thread? I need a set for a 1970T. Thanks guys.
Cheers
JB

When I went to put on my timing decal on the engine fan, there was no glue left on the foil decal to glue with. Too old it dried up. anybody know a good glue to use on the back of these timing decal that go on the fan housing? Chris
