My niece & family had to evacuate this morning @ 4:30 AM. Fire trucks on her street! Her brother is packed & ready if need be! Terrible.

Thanks, we're in the city and seem to be safe. I have two close friends just outside of town who lost their houses, Vinyards and collector cars. My heart breaks for them. Looks like we're having house guests for awhile

    Holy Crap is right!

This is a BAD fire and totally under-reported right now.

While the material losses will end up being catastrophic, let's hope there's no loss of life.

I heard about an elderly couple who didn't make it out in time. Could very well be more casualties but the fires are still going strong. Too early to access yet. The police and fire evacuated people effectively all things considered

Fires like these are Mother Natures ultimate Horror movie and scare the living B Jeezes out of me.
I have 2 mates that are firemen who flew from New Zealand to British Columbia to help deal with the flames there on a purely voluntary basis and they are still there 2 months later.
    Thoughts to all those affected.
