One of the grandstands we watched yesterday's final from. This was taken a few hours after the tournament ended and we left. The Silverado golf courses are as much a mess as the surrounding area. The pros had to be evacuated along with lots of other folks. Big traffic jam.

Just saw that in the news - my condolences to the owner of the targa...Hope you're OK !

Scary stuff, I've been smelling it all day, my car was covered in ash and we're 15 min south of the closest fire ! Seems crazy in this day and age that we can still lose parts of a city (Santa Rosa) to fires...

And a coupe to the far left?

Notice the pile of rubble behind the G body Targa... most likely molten mass from the aluminum engine and transmission case components.

Good eye, I did not even spot that...

About the original pic: A friend has a shop up there at Sears Pt near the go Kart track (which is what we see on the pic I think), and the photo may be one of the controlled burn they did there.... I don't know...But he told me they did a controlled burn to prevent damage and that probably saved his shop - the pic fire looks reasonably under control, could be that... Less smoke in the air tonight, I hope it dies down... Napa/Sonoma wine country has taken a huge hit - lovely area, that's really sad, not to mention folks out on their ass all of a sudden... Scary stuff..I'm re-evaluating my bugout bag (previously more of a quake bag, now I need to add some quicker fire procedures)

Can smell the smoke here, south of the city near the coast.

10 deaths confirmed and over 100 people missing. Absolutely Devastating losses.

When one thinks of "wildfires" it's typically of remote, rural areas with spread out losses. Photos show a different picture; Coffey Park neighborhood is gone.

Holey moley, Frank, that is crazy! My sympathies to all the residents there!
