Differences between 67 Softwindow and 67 Softwindow S

The restoration of 500248 and 500441S is progressing. Both are stripped, 90% welded. Both vehicles had changes and therefore the question to the experts:
What differences should be observed between the standard model and the S model?
Are there differences in the suspension, shock absorbers, brakes? I think the S-model had no Koni-shock absorbers too. But did both models have the same Boge absorbers?

Are there any other differences besides engine, tachometer and dashboard lining?

The kardex shows that the standard-model was ordered with fuchs-wheels like the S-model and both cars are light ivory. The standard model was ordered with foglights, leather interieur, leather seats and rubber buffer on the bumper, but I donīt know if the S-model
maybe had fog lights and rubber buffers as standard.

Does someone know which parts exactly were covered with leather when the Kardex mentions upholstery black leather 6604 B and additionally the Kardex mentions black leather seats?

Are the seats different between the standard-model and the S-model?

A lot of questions, but I hope for the concentrated expertise in the registry.

And one additional question: Would you install an outside temperature gauges retrospectively, if it was not originally installed and use leather seats if originally leatherette was used?
The cars would be less original but the gauge looks nice and leather feels better than leatherette.

    Kind regards.

The 'S' model had ventilated rotors and different calipers, Fuchs wheels, fog lights, and webasto as standard. The inside rear view mirror was different. You will have to make that decision about adding non-original items.

    Hallo Ed,

Stole a copy of this from Der Whites site. Was '67 brochure. Lists what was standard on '67S model. Don't forget anodize aluminum strips on door caps and the end cap stainless steel end covers for the S model arm rest/door pull. Please send me a pic for 441S. Condition unimportant. Just documenting that it exists. Also believe all outside temp gauges installed by Porsche in '67 were Motometer chrome bezel. If I'm wrong I'm sure experts will correct me. Picture in the accessory brochure on Der White web site; All targas in '67 and I believe '68 used Boge.
