    Why are these being called "Early Type"?

    Early is certainly a relative term. The date stamp is the defining feature to me.

    there are two versions of the 15x7 x8 fuchs wheels.....these are "early" type with .11 .12 part number and old style year stamp.....later ones have a .44 part number and the year stamped in a rectangular shape...
