    FS: 1990 Porsche 964 C2 M/T 5 speed (NY) with LSD

    SOLD

    Price: $40,000

    Year: 1990
    Make: Porsche
    Model: 964
    VIN: WP0AB2964LS450292
    Mileage (numbers only please):131,200
    Color: Samtrotmetallic = Velvet Red metallic
    Location (Region): New York
    Body Style: Coupe
    Transmission Type:Manual - 5 speed

    2 or 4 Wheel Drive: 2 Wheel Drive (C2)

    Selling my 964 which I have owned since 2010, and purchased from Minneapolis with 102,000 miles - it had a top end rebuild done at 95,000 miles by Henry Luft, (Seattle mechanic who moved there). Nicknamed her Gina, after the velvet red lipstick color reminded us of Gina Lollobrigida :-) The color leans towards a burgundy (as opposed to a brighter red (like guards red). It has just a few options, namely sports seats and limited slip differential (pluis a few more detailed below). 964 is last of the handbuilt Porsches. Apparently they were 700 man-hours to build :-)

    Options:

    C02 = catalytic convertor
    158 = Radio "Monterey" 86 "Reno" 87
    220 = LSD
    286 = High Intensity Windscreen Washer
    288 = Headlight Washers

    383 = Sport Seat - Left
    387 = Sport Seat - Right
    454 = Cruise Control
    494 = 2 speakers on back shelf
    850 = ? perhaps floormats or a lifestyle package

    It is riding on 17" Cup 1 wheels which are aftermarket Mille Miglia with summer tires, and a set of black powder coated 16" D90's come with it.

    It has stock suspension upgraded with H&R coilover set. WEVO engine mounts. It also has a Steve Wong chip. Flag mirrors removed (but come with car) and have a set of Vitaloni mirrors on the car for 6 years now. Much better look and in practice function very well. There is a Dansk G-pipe which really sounds great (8-Horsepower Increase + 25 Pounds Lighter, More Sound + replaces secondary muffler). Space saver spare tire is in the car as is the tool kit. New alternator put in last fall, new battery, as well as rebuilding clutch pedal assembly

    In good condition for 130k mile car - it does have some wear and scuffing on the drivers seat left bolster as well as some road rash on front area. Drives perfectly - just came back from a trip to an event in West Virginia, and the car was made for twisty alpine roads. Great torquey engine with a wide powerband. Radio was already out when i got it, so I put in an Alpine radio but never really use it to be honest - listen to engine sounds most of the time.
    This car is always garaged and is driven mostly on weekends or on trips like the one to West Virginia or up to VT or NH or Catskills or down to Hershey.
