Good question, tcs, most helpful. I've just got to the same point on my '68 stripdown, and was concerned about removal of the door paint tag. Some helpful hints on the pelican link as to how to remove those little rivets without damage to the surroundings, and some confidence that there's authentic replacements out there. Thanks.

It seems there's a few methods suggested for installing new paint tag rivets back in, ranging from superglue (!) to use of trim fixings ('square nuts') on the back. Will the Stoddard rivets press back into the original holes ok, or are there good tools/techniques required does anyone know?

    Regards,

    Mike.
