The Deep River here is actually very shallow. Thanks for the offer, but America and eastern Connecticut in particular are pretty nice places to be. This country is capable of good stuff, so deep down I'm hoping we collectively recognize and overcome the strategic forces at play, internally and externally, that seek to divide and take us down.

So if there's no ultimate Author or Enforcer of morality or no eternal consequence for immoral behavior then we're left with no actual moral code to live by. Each person can do as he or she deems appropriate. These vile perpetrators simply do what seems right to them.
Great analysis explaining what appears to be a type of person lacking in love and respect for others. Although the Vegas incident showed no history of psychotic behavior and a fairly successful guy to boot, there had to be serious problems in his life that were kept to himself.

Could the NRA have a 'bigger' role to play as far as use of and training those that own a firearm.. Thinking outside the box -- could they directly help educate anyone considering such an act in the future - by simply encouraging that guy to take himself out first, rather than exercising a rampage and ultimately shot anyway. Society does not condone suicide, but maybe a document or pamphlet written in some manner could address the issue of rampage and alternative to it, conditional upon purchase.

I'd say keep your political opinions private since this isn't a place to argue this.

    ????
It's crucial that we don't attempt to politicize all of our convictions and opinions otherwise I could charge that your "faster Porsche" comment is a result of your political elitist delusion.

Please share with us your definition of "political opinion". I am truly mystified by your comment.
