It didn't use to be, though.
Look at my photo from approximately the same angle and distance. Do you notice anything different between my photo (taken with a cheap Canon camera) and your picture taken with a GD phone? I do. Anybody else see what I am seeing?

    Ciao

Maybe I should better explain my picture. My picture is taken by me of a engine case from the large pile of engine cases in my back room, not of JohnJohn's case. Look carefully at my picture and then look at that awful, fuzzy, out of focus picture of JohnJohn's motor. See anything out of sorts?

    Ciao

    Jim

I remember at school in the 60's we used to do etchings with a piece of paper and a lead pencil.
    That could work

Please take another picture of that area. Not an out of focus, dark, lousy one, either.

    Regards

That's hilarious. I wasn't involved in this community back then but I've read many of his posts. He was a wild man. (I think he has me bested for number of mod-deleted posts.)

Given the fact that murder rates were at their peak in the U.S. in the mid 80's (for people and Porsches) I would say this car is fairly rare to have been preserved as long as it has in this condition. I suspect it may have been parked for decades because a mechanic told the owner his engine was of questionable origin.
