In 1971 bought a 1960 Hillman Minx, probably one of only a handful in the States. Repaired the brakes (don't recall how I managed with little experience, no repair manual and no internet!) and promptly brush-painted the exterior in the Union Jack ala Lord Such's Rolls. Hippy days and crazy ways. First Porsche was a 59 356 Coupe in 1976, with very young wife and newborn baby, in snowy cold Chicago. As our only car! Ah, "But I was young and foolish, and now am full of tears" (that I don't still own it). Cheers
