First car was red 1968 Fiat 850 Spyder. It was a total POS (Fiat is an acronym for "Fix it again, Tony") held together by rust, but it was great fun, and at 50 MPG was the thing to have during the gas crisis of 1973. I sold it to some guy who planned to turn it into a racecar (hillclimber). Appropriately, my first Porsche was red 1967 912 vintage racecar, which blew the engine and I then converted to a 911S (see avatar).
First car: 1955 Ford F100 Stepside Pickup (OK, that's a truck...my first car was a 1984 BMW 318i that I bought off the showroom floor)
First (& only) Porsche: 1972 911S Targa that I bought from an ad in the San Francisco Chronicle in 1985

My first car was a '54 VW I bought in '68 from my sister-in-law's 78 year old grandfather (he was the engineer that designed the crane and derrick for the A-bomb test in New Mexico) I bought it for $100 without a straight piece of metal on it, (he kept hitting things, except the roof, he never rolled it), drove it for a year, ran it out of brakes, sold it for $75, new owner put $25 worth of brakes on it, and sold it for a $100... sometimes I dream it's still making the $75 to a $100 rounds to this day....
My first Porsche is the '73S I drive today... Found it in the 'Valley Recycler' newspaper in Feb. '89 for $10K or best offer....
Later I found that the 'new alloys' were repops, and the 'engine rebuild' was a simple top end in about '76...
Guess what? .... I'm still not complaining..........
... and so it goes

My first car (that I bought with my own money) was a 1955 Truimph TR2. Fun car but broke all the time. That was followed by a 1958 Metropolitan Convertable which morphed into a 1960 Austin Healey 3000. My first Porsche was a 1968 912 that I bought just after getting out of the service in 1970. I bought my first 911, A Sepia Brown 71 911T in August of 1973. I've still got it. Owned a bunch of them since but none can compare with my old brown 911.

Chuck, hows this for deja vu.
In 1978 I started my apprenticeship and needed a car. All I could afford was a VW. So I bought a 56 Oval. Drove it for the 5 years of my apprenticeship and came to the conclusion that it was not doing me any favours in catching the girl of my dreams. (I was always the last to arrive at the party).
Tried to sell it but no one wanted it for love or money,, ( certainly not the love ). I put the car on my uncles farm in a massive utility shed in Northland NZ and bought a Ford Escort and forgot all about the "dry" times in the VW. Fast forward to 1998 and my uncles passes and my auntie Judy asks me if I could come and get car which after years abroad I had forgotten about. 6 months ago after almost 39 years of ownership I sold it.
