    I restored mine, it worked great, and then it got stuck in the dash. This was His way of stopping smoking in the car. Which I am not sure is concours because everyone smoked in '66.

    Any trick to get the ash tray out of the dash? I normally break stuff that doesn't come out easily, so if there is a release tab or anything, I'd appreciate any help.

    (I am a porsche neophyte)

    Aha, but in order to push the tab down, you have to get the ashtray open! One of the many paradoxes of SWB ownership, right up there with, "I want to go slower, but if I take my foot off the gas I'll spin."
