    Every now and again we all feel a little flat ( no not fat) but regardless,,
    Driving mine (( not at this speed )) always snaps me out.
    We have cars that in all honesty are irreplaceable but rain or shine (nearly wrote shame) driving mine always pulls me out of what I felt flat about

    Great video. So, teach me something I've always wondered about. Never had my 911 on a track, so I've always wondered about this. I do a little bit of heel/toe on the back roads, always from 3rd to 2nd on hard braking corners so I can mash down in 2nd at the apex instead of letting my clutch out at that point. It's fun. But this is obviously much more serious stuff. At 1:35 Keen comes to the end of the long straight and starts braking. He heel and toes from 5th down to 2nd in the space of about 4 seconds, so he's only in 4th and 3rd for a very brief moment, braking the entire time. Why even bother engaging 4th and 3rd for those brief moments? I get that it slows the transmission down, but wouldn't it slow down enough if he skipped 4th and 3rd, braked, then blipped the throttle for 2nd right before the apex?

    I regularly down shift from 5th to 3rd or 4th to 2nd, you risk a mechanical over rev or spinning out if you mis judge the cars speed to the engine speed.

    It is safer under race conditions to shift down through the gearbox. 5th, 4th, 3rd 2nd. Less chance of going 5th to 2nd too early and buzzing the engine.

    I like to watch the pros row a 915 like its a dog ring trans, impressive.
    Leh not a left foot brake guy?

    Roll bar padding not required?
    Better to be a shorter race diver, Knee bar and all.
