MOMO prototipo 380 mm real / fake?

    Hi,

I am looking for dieferent steering wheel for my 1969 911, now I can buy the following MOMO steering wheel but seriously wonder if it is what it is...
It looks to new, however I can't find new 380 mm MOMO prototipo's!?

    What will it be worth!?

    Thanks,
    Bart

That 'prototipo' engraving doesn't look original (wrong font) and it's in the wrong place. The engraved 'prototipo' was at the bottom of the spoke. When it was moved to that spot it was screen printed. Look through the "Catalog of factory and aftermarket steering wheels" thread to see examples.

Also, the early 380's always had the upper two spokes in a flat line form 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock, not angled like the lesser sizes. This appears to be angled.

It could be a reproduction wheel (Classicowheels.com sells one) or perhaps a later wheel that was refurbished.
