To be honest it won't be that a big job to return to stock.
Once I have the body parts I can turn it out in a few weeks. Will it be perfect, no but it would be a great driver. Deck, bumpers and rear fenders are needed. Interior wise I would leave pretty much as is minus the seats and a few trim pieces .

As I think of it you're right though it's not cheap in parts !! Factor in the proper Fuchs and the price goes up. Lucky I have most of it . As for the engine I'm not sure, I rarely drive a stock car and it's too cold to test this car.

I would leave it as-is for a while and see if it grows on you. It can always be put back to stock but it’s very cool looking now.
A part isn't purchased until paid.

I did hear back from the 2nd owner and he confirmed a few things. First off was the mileage he confirmed the car to have been a very original
low mileage car and estimated the mileage at 45k miles when he sold the car. He said the intakes stacks are from a 69 and where bored to 44mm
by Andial ,at the same time sent the pump out for rebuild. Andy Bittenbender of Pittsburg area, Steinels keep the car track ready for DE days.
Engine and transmission remained stock but he did upgrade to Carrera tensioners at some point. That's it for now.

Parts ordered to convert the front bumper (Going for a ST look), 72-73 Mirror, Bright trim, head light bezels. Wheels will be Minilites 15x9 rears and 15X8 Fuchs
front. Or possible minilites all the way around.

Fubawu - I dig it jus the way it is! Wouldn't change a thing body wise - maybe change the trim/seats, but that's it.

Thanks ,I'm leaning toward keeping it the way it is with minor tweaks. I did find out a little more information
on the car. It was purchased by the 2nd owner in Vero Beach FL in 1986. I believe the original
owner retired to FL from PA and brought the car down. It looks like it was sold by the widow,
I say widow as it was sold by a younger woman who had no idea about the car.

Here are a few more pictures, very wide hips!!

The right wheels and a lowering job would make it perfect.

    Leave it as is.
