No matter how much work you do to that car it will never be original again. The work that has been performed seems to be of high quality and is in keeping with development over the years. I would leave it as is and enjoy the ride.

Agreed. 15x9 and 15x11 Fuchs with period tires (TBs?), some ride height work and a proper alignment, and a period RSR or sport muffler would do wonders for this car. Bright window trim and white-stripe delete would as well. Love the color, bodywork, and a lot of the details—including the Italian lenses up front and don't even mind the hood pins. This can be a very cool hot rod/driver.

Nice score, and curious to see where you take it.

Thanks guys I've just purchased a few parts , new S wide front bumper , hood , trim and mirror. Not sure what seats to go with, might use modern Recaro Pole position or a classic Scheel seat.
Wheels will be minilites 15x8 front and 15x9 rear might use 8 Fuchs on the front. Going with minilites as I have them on the shelf

I never thought I would read an Early S posting where virtually everyone agreed to keep a modded 911 that way. It would be neat if you give us a few snaps when you get it finished. I agree it will be fun tho for street I think 8+9x15 would drive a lot nicer than 9+11s. Just saying. Mainly- nice- and ENJOY!

Well I had the car out for a drive today. Roads were dry and temps in the high 40's!! I have to say the car felt great.
Drove well, really didn't miss a beat! I received a few parts already. New 72 mirror from Porsche, early Momo Protipio
, Minilites 15x9 for the rear and 15x8 Fuchs for the front. Recaro SPG race seats to be installed next!

ST wide front bumper and Fiberglass hood on the way. Trim is black now but was simply painted over so that will be stripped.
Car will get paint touch ups and the front truck area cleaned and painted.

Such an awesome find, can't wait to see it in its final form. Is this what the silver Prototipo is going on?
