Frank, you remember the silver lobster 3.0 from my friend it's for sale now. He had the car in a shop to do a minor maintenance and came back with a 30K€ Engine Rebuild. So he bit the bullet and had the engine redone but lost his interest over that. But probably it's not interesting to ship the car again back to the us as prices over there are lower.

I completely understand Franks point of view, and would be more than happy to put a deposit down to show good faith.

However some of the cars that I have pursued have been advertised elsewhere and even establishing the bona fides of the seller can be difficult.

I would always expect to pay for a PPI and I would use a third party.

Now, who can look at a '68 Camaro in Kansas for me?
Well, it has taken about 7 months from go to whoa for me but I finally have a Camaro in my drive.
Huge thanks to Greg Kahrs @gkahrs for being my reliable third party.

9er, excellent example. Check out a nearby but remote area of town, rarely visited 2 -3 miles away. Strange thing is I wasn't looking for it several years ago when it hit me that it probably was an old dealership. Pulling in, the building had boxes of abandoned stuff laying around. Confirmed later from shot below. Still there.
