Dave always has some great cars. As I recall, that car won the GT award while sporting an essentially NOS RSR motor.

Does he still have the 2.8 liter RSR engine in it? With that engine number, I think not unless he converted the original engine to 2.8. Chris

Talked to Dave today January 1; He said this car is not for sale. He does not know how this ad got here. He showed up at a drive today with the car and it still has the 2.8 in it. All modern 911's mostly showed up-- Maybe us early 911 guys are becoming like the 356 club of 911's. out of 30 cars, only three were early 911's.Chris

Sounds about like the ratio at our last R_Gruppe “Rennen”. I’m OK hanging out in the background like the 356 guys

At Porsche parade last summer there were four (counting 76 and back) 911's being autocrossed, yet there is thread upon thread of people spending bazillions on every trick part from every known catalog to make their portfolio faster and faster,,,,,sooooo where are they

There was another New Years drive out by Magic Mountain near the 5 freeway, Maybe some one took pictures. This drive I went to was in the Santa Monica Mountain's.and was put together by a shop that mostly works on modern cars and that is what showed up.---993, 997, and a lot of 991's. when the drive was finished in Malibu; there must of been 10 to 15 991's all over the parking lot. I am now noticing a lot of 991's all over the west side of L.A. People are buying this model a lot in the Targa form as well. Chris

The new Targa is pretty sweet. Mechanical tour de force.
