Sport Seats and sport seatbelts at the end of the sixties

    Hallo,
hope you had some nice Christmas days. Many members are very experienced in details and I hope they can give advice according seats and seatbelts. I want to build up a modelyear 66 911 in a sporty look and have one mj 66 which is quite original with Teka shoulder seat belts and round headrests.
The next one should have a more sporty look. What seats did they use at the end of the sixties in rallye cars and which seatbelts did they use? Would a recaro rally seat I (also reproduction) or a Scheel 101 fit? What seatbelts did they use in rallye Porsche at the end of the sixties? Autoflug, Sabelt, Schroth ...?
I think the first Rallye Porsche (Vin 300055) also had no normal driver seat, but I didn´t find a picture with the whole seat, just a section and this section looks a little bit like a recaro rally seat I.

    Thanks for hints.

    Kind regards

    Anke

Well, there are not too many possibililties.
    Drivers:
Really early I'd use a Seat like a 356 Carrera but for 911 they had slightly different dimensions.
Next would be the 67 Recaro Bucket - perfect comfort.
Scheel R seat - tough to get.
Rallye Bitter like 67 Recaro bucket but a tad wider and higher boulsters - about impossible to get.

    Passenger:
    Standard
    early Recaro Sports
Scheel 400 and earlier like on the 67 Monte Car
And the drivers Seats from above

BTW. Just curious - does your last name start with R, and did you buy a 67 Recaro sports on ebay a couple of years ago - if yes this would make a very nice passenger Seat.
    Best

The factory Porsche racing division used Britax harnesses in all there race and rally cars in the 1960's. Repa race harnesses were then used from 69 by all factory cars, but Britax were still used until the Britax contract expired in the early 70's.

Incidentally ,i have never seen an Autoflug harness in any pre-73 factory Porsche.

    Thank you Uli,
and thanks to "stretch" for your help.
Uli, you asked if we were the buyers of the Recaro sport seats. We didn´t buy these seats. When I was looking for an answer according to contemporary seats, I found several threads for BMWs with pictures from your seats. Would you say Scheel 101 seats would be an alternative? Someone has offered me two seats which need restoration for 1100 €.
And in the threads you also mentioned Gerrit from NML Depot. Does it make sense to ask him if he has some contemporary seats? Do you have his number?

    Kind regards

    Bernd

scheel 101 in 67 Porsche? sorry, but that does not fit the time. Scheel 101 is certainly 70s. I would not do that and is synonymous for the SWB in my opinion, too clunky. as already mentioned: either the recaro shell seat (later called rally 1) so the one with the feet or just the recaro sports seat (later called recaro ideal) ... both not very cheap, but a swb 911 is also something special and represents one today Significant value dar. I would not save just at the seats! greeting

Thank you Thomas. The seat looks nice and seems to have a lot of experiences in Rallyes. Do you think it is an early Recaro seat? You have a very nice collection of very important Rally cars. Did you know the drivers? Did they use Britax seatbelts 1967 or 68?

Kind regards from Germany. We will be in the North of Sweden in february to try dog sledge. Are you also the owner of #6 softwindow?

    Kind regards
    Bernd
